Welcome to the new The Chocoholic Baker! As you can all see, I now have my very own website, not just a blog and I’ve been working on getting it ready for you all for a couple of weeks. I’m really excited to share my new home with all of my readers and I hope you like the new style just as much as I do. Just to let you all know what’s been going on in the background, I’ve also moved to WordPress instead of Typepad. I really liked using Typepad because it was easy and there was quite a lot of customisation. However, with WordPress there is just so much you can do, plus I get to manage everything myself including this new domain name, so I made the decision to switch.
I’ve been thinking a lot about what to do with… Well life lately! I have struggled a bit since leaving university to find where I wanted to be and a space for my passions. I do really enjoy my job in IT, but I think after the “university bubble” everything seems a bit more real… Has anyone else found that? Even if nobody else has expectations of you, suddenly it seems time to find not just a job but a career, buy a house settle down, figure out what you want to do with life, etc. It can be pretty scary!
When I thought about what I really loved though and what makes me really happy, I came up with two things: baking and blogging. I love baking and coming up with new ideas and recipes and trying them out, but I also love sharing them on here with all of you. Interaction with you guys, my readers, makes me really happy and I wanted to put more effort into connecting with you and sharing recipes and ideas with you all. So here I am, in my new and improved space that I wanted to share with you all. I also have new social media sites in case you’re more of a Facebook or Instagram person that can be found in the sidebar or at the bottom of this post.
I just wanted to say thanks to those who continue to read this blog and I will continue to enjoy sharing my passion and recipes with you all. There’s a new post coming soon too for all those peanut butter lovers out there, I hope you enjoy it! Happy baking!
